The participation, contributions, and support from organizations and individuals are foundational to CERA’s ability as a nonprofit to build and maintain CERA’s programs and services that we offer to the public. Contributions can take the form of cash donations and non-cash contributions such as free or discounted equipment, use and access to properties hosting radio infrastructure, use of facilities to host CERA meetings, or free services that help enable CERA’s operations.

With tremendous gratitude, CERA thanks the following individuals and organizations for their meaningful contributions to help CERA fulfill our mission.

Our deepest gratitude to the Latrobe Fund for the $12,000 grant that will be used to improve the resiliency of CERA's radio repeater network. The Latrobe Fund was founded in 2019 by two philanthropists with residences in the Latrobe and Lake Tahoe areas. They are business owners who are making a difference for local nonprofits in El Dorado County. Each grant request is reviewed on its own merits and granted at the discretion of the fund owners. 

Our heartfelt thanks to the HALTER Project for continuously funding the Wildland Fire & Hazards Safety training for our Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) members of the El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club (EDCARC) who provide radio communications support while accompanying animal rescue personnel in evacuation zones close to the fire. The HALTER Project is a grass-roots program with a vision: To help animals and their people in emergencies and disasters by supporting efforts of individuals, communities, and agencies to train and prepare for a ready response to, and the care of, animals in everyday emergencies and large-scale disasters.

Very special thanks to the Cannabis Community Benefit Committee for their generous Community Promotions Grant of $1,400 to assist in the costs to prepare EDCARC Amateur Radio Emergency Service "hot zone" members for successful deployment during wildfire emergencies. CERA recognizes the fantastic work being done by the Cannabis Community Benefit Committee and we extend our sincere appreciation for their generous support!  

We are very honored to receive a $600 grant contribution from the Camino Community Action Committee to assist CERA in replacing our aging Pollock Pines-Camino radio repeater duplexer which is crucial for reducing radio signal noise and improving overall system performance. Thank you for recognizing CERA's investment in the Pollock Pines-Camino area to enable this community's access to CERA's radio repeater network, especially during emergencies and in areas with poor cell coverage.

CERA and its Pollock Pines/Camino Neighborhood Radio Watch group extend a sincere thanks to the Women's Fund El Dorado (WFED) for a $2000 grant towards the purchase and installation of a crucial auto-start backup generator for CERA's radio repeater that services that community. The generator helps ensure uninterrupted two-way radio communications during power outages and disasters. We appreciate the WFED and the philanthropy of their members for their giving and investment in local nonprofits such as CERA to have the greatest impact in areas where help is needed.

We celebrate and are truly appreciative of community members for their named and anonymous donations to support CERA's programs which are foundational to CERA’s ability as a nonprofit to build and sustain CERA’s services that we offer to the public for free.

Our sincere thanks to the organizations and individuals who host CERA repeaters at their site locations or help with maintenance. The ability to locate CERA's radio repeaters at high elevations and strategic locations throughout El Dorado County provide ideal coverage and transmission performance to help community members receive and send radio messages to help each other stay informed and safe. We would like to thank Cal.net, Pacific Gas & Electric, Gilmore Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing, and ESPN for donating equipment that was refurbished by CERA to support CERA's Neighborhood Radio Watch program and the El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club. 

For the use of their facilities for CERA's Neighborhood Radio Watch meetings, we thank Coloma Gold Trail Grange, Gold Ridge Forest Property Owners, and Sierra Springs Owners Association. Being able to reach out to community members where they live helps to expand enrollment in CERA's Neighborhood Radio Watch groups and connect residents socially and personably so they can learn from and lean on eather other for support.

Thank you to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), and US Forest Service (USFS) for their cooperation in working with CERA. Building bridges and working cooperatively with local agencies are key to CERA's goals to co-exist and complement the services of local authorities for emergency communications, such as bringing in the El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club's Amateur Radio Emergency Services to help with Caldor Fire Animal Rescue.

Thanks to Western Fire Supply for discounting the wildland certified clothing and gear used by our El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club's Amateur Radio Emergency Services team in wildfire hot zones while providing radio communications for animal control officers when evacuating and caring for animals and livestock left behind.
